Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released it’s corrective action plan for Special Education in response to the 2016-2017 U.S. Department of Education investigation.

Commissioner of Education Mike Morath explained this initial plan is simply a first draft still requiring additional public comment and suggestions. A final plan will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Education after educators, students, families, school districts, and advocacy groups have a chance to provide input.

  • Please and Beg special education Advocate , TEA, IDEA and others.. about
    Certification Education ASL interpreters , all of special Deaf program should have provided to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in the public classes at public schools for their human rights, language access, communication access, education access and any sports access. The Deaf and HoH students will be great Successful! in the future.. Thanks, Lucy.. PS. I had been problem with my first daughter and my last daughter were in the mainstreaming at public schools. special deaf program REFUSED to PROVIDE the Certification education and ASL interpreters because they said too much money for paying the ASL interpreter they forget what is the best Deaf and HoH students s education successful and their education rights. .. thanks , Lucy Hovinga
